ED YAO PHOTOGRAPHY - TORONTO WEDDING & ENGAGEMENTS
Your wedding day will come and go. The flowers will wilt, the candles will burn out, the décor will come down, and the last song will eventually end…
But your photographs will remain.

THE PHILOSOPHY
Your wedding lasts a day…
But your photographs last a lifetime.
They will become the pieces of that day you get to keep for the rest of your life… the photos you’ll look back on years from now, and proudly show your children when they ask…
“What did Mom and Dad look like when they were young?”
WHY CHOOSE ED YAO?
You will look your best when you are comfortable.
01 | A discovery call before any booking
A real conversation, not a sales call. We check each other’s vibes, both ways.
02 | Your priorities set the approach
If direction helps you relax, I’ll guide you through natural, flattering posing. You’ll feel confident knowing what comes next. Or maybe you'd rather forget the camera exists altogether? I'll stay quiet and watch with an emphasis on capturing candid, unscripted moments exactly as they unfold.
03 | Comfort is the craft
My biggest goal is that you two feel good around me. If you're relaxed and enjoying your day, the photos will take care of themselves.

Other Services & Add-Ons
-
While your wedding day is a celebration for everyone, an engagement session is exclusively for the two of you — a chance to create natural looking and intimate portraits in a quiet and relaxed setting. The photos from these sessions are perfect as personal keepsakes, wedding décor (‘Save the Dates’ and invitations), or simply as gifts for you and your partner. All images will be thoughtfully color graded and retouched, resulting in a cinematic, timeless collection that preserves your story for years to come.
*50% off (Save $350) when you book either the ESSENTIAL or COMPREHENSIVE package. -
Not every celebration fits inside an 8-hour window, and that's okay. Everything is fully customizable, so you can add extra coverage for $450 per hour and enjoy your day without watching the clock.
-
Recommended if bride and groom are getting ready in two different locations. A second photographer is typically used to stay with the groom’s party and stay for the ceremony and photoshoot to get auxillary angles and photograph extended friends and family.
-
No additional travel fees will be incurred for events within the Greater Toronto Area (defined as within 50km of the CN Tower). For destinations beyond 50km, transportation and accomodation fees may apply:
Couples who trusted the process
About your photographer…
WHO IS ED YAO?
Former scientist (I have an M.Sc. in Immunology from McGill University). I try to go bouldering three times a week so my arms can carry two heavy cameras all day… and my dream job is to be a celebrity interviewer like Howard Stern! Ask me about the time that Masterchef winner, Dino Luciano almost killed me (true story!)
“I want to capture you the way the people who love you see you”.
“There's a good chance we'll be friends by the end of your wedding day.
I'm unabashedly a people person. I love starting conversations, making people laugh, and helping you feel completely comfortable in front of a camera. You're trusting me with some of the most meaningful photographs you'll ever have, and I don't take that lightly.
My career began in corporate photography, where I learned that trust, reliability, and consistency matter just as much as a great image.
I'm drawn to the moments between the big moments: your dad's face when he first sees you, your grandmother wiping away a tear, your partner looking at you when you're not posing. I want to capture you the way the people who love you see you. Afterall, I’m just a sensitive guy who still tears up during the speeches.
Years from now, I want your photographs to be enjoyed by your children and for all the memories of that day to be experienced again.
So tell me your story… I can’t wait to meet you!”
